Sea View Cottage Lake District Coast, Haverigg

3.5 star property

"Location and a comfy bed and lovely bath were the only redeeming features of this house. Lots of damp throughout which you can smell straight away also see. There was a large area on the stairs where wallpaper was missing. The twin room smelled strongly of urine which I feel came from the carpets. The view from the back not the best so don’t look too much. There were cobwebs in main bedroom by the wardrobe to the wall also large cracks and paper coming off. This property has no curb appeal at...

"Lovely property and good communication/ instructions. As caravan was really as described Quiet area and lots of rural areas for long walks. Not a big fan of low tides but that's the nature 😉 I guess this caravan park has got more to offer but we were bit too short to find out"

"Cockleshell cottage was every bit what we expected, fantastic views, lovely walks around the area, the cottage was cosy, and everything was provided. It was ideally situated for touring the Western coastal places and for going into the lake towns. It was a shame that the weather was not too good, as we would have liked to sit outside the cottage to enjoy the scenery, but at this time of year we didn't expect much. I would say though, when we left the area, the temperature was 2 degrees, when we...

Lake District Static Caravan Lakeside, Cumbria

6.0 out of 10, (2)
"Initial impressions weren’t good-outside the caravan was scruffy with an old dog lead lying around and uncut grass around the door. However the caravan itself was clean and very comfortable. There was a smell of gas outside as well from the canisters but we contacted the owner who very promptly got someone to sort the problem. The caravan also needs a plug in the kitchen sink and a new light in the shower room. Overall I would say the caravan is comfy but needs some TLC."
