Lawns for cricket in the evenings; mud flats to explore at low tide; a wee beach or two to wander along; log fire for chilly autumn mornings and those long holiday evenings sitting round playing board games and cards together. We couldn’t have dreamed of anything better than what we had the privilege of enjoying here thank you to the hosts who share their slice of paradise"

"Our stay was fantastic, the property was easy to get to, it was massive on the inside great for family & such lush soft beds it made it hard to get up the next day. The couches were so lovely and clean with nice cushions everything looked lovely. A accommodation"

"Views are absolutely stunning, has everything you need for a blissful stay! Suitable for business and a sneaky getaway. Accesible to Nelson and surrounding areas. Host were very polite and allowed me to do as i needed too. Highly recommend this property 100%."

"A lovely spot with immaculate views, the kids loved the supplied kayaks. Getting them home and cleaning them was a small challenge. House and gardens were perfect with local birdlife hopping through the trees. Bedding was comfortable and clean. Kitchen well appointed. "

"The unit was a great layout, good location, had everything we needed. However unfortunately there was a strong musty smell when we first entered & lingered the whole time. Whenever the place was closed up for a few hours, when we re-entered it was really strong again. Quite disappointing "

"Friendly environment although a bit dodgy Just a comment as we experienced a fly plague,not sure where it came from as the property itself wasn't dirty and I cleaned everything I could again to ensure good standards but still flies where everywhere.."

"We had a very nice stay. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. Needed more firewood as the house does not have central heating. There were enough blankets to keep us warm."

"The place is remote and fabulous with a steep gravel driveway and set far above the road for noiseless nights of stargazing. It requires a little bit of off grid savvy but nothing even this 60 year old New Yorker couldn’t learn in seconds. The view is absolutely stunning, the house is quite comfortable. "My wife and I had an exceptional stay at Carnmore Chateau Marlborough! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the comforts we could ask for including a very large LED TV. The highlight of our stay was definitely the restaurant – the food was outstanding, with each dish expertly prepared and presented. The service was top-notch as well; the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. We can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway. Looking forward to our next visit!"
