"The only complaint is that we booked through expedia. We showed up to find the staff decided to leave before the times listed on their site. We had no key, no way to check in and no one would answer either phones. Finally after about an hour and having to leave to catch the last ferry so we weren't stranded on the island with no where to stay, we got a call back. "The stay was overall pretty good. The only thing we found was there are only 2 washers and dryers for the entire campground. 1 washer was broken and there was no change machine to get quarters and the office was closed. Could also use a playground for the little ones as there isnt much for kids on the property other than the pool for summer. "

"The Cabana in Hatteras is perfect for a couple or small family to stay close to the beach. We enjoyed our stay and loved the community. Best coffee in the area! The management was super helpful, and answered all our questions quickly. The pool at the club house was very nice and our teens enjoyed too. We loved sitting on the decks especially the top one.
