"We have been enjoying Twain Harte every summer for decades. We were fortunate to find this great house this year after our go to TH cabin went off the rental market. After settling in we knew it was the perfect place for our stay. The location is great and the house is comfortable. The back deck is large and its west facing orientation is perfect for enjoying beautiful sunsets. We made arrangements to return next year before we left! So happy to have found the Cozy Cabin."

"My husband, 22 year old son and I had a great stay. The cottage was very clean and in a quiet location. Frank responded quickly to messages sent regarding the stay. We enjoyed coffee on the deck in the mornings. After hiking during the day we had fun picking a movie from the DVD collection and relaxing in the evenings. It was also nice to have the washer/dryer available. "

"Property was clean and the kitchen was fully stocked. Beds were comfortable.TV not easy to use. Had a great time. Biggest problem was it took 3 hours to get in because of bad codes for door entrance. Then bad lock box code. Finally when someone showed up they opened lock with a another code which they didn't give us!"

"We had our family reunion at my daughters lake house from 8;00am-8:pm. It was so nice to come back to a cool comfortable house to relax and sleep. We loved the small town and restaurants. The house had a game room with board games the younger children liked. Over all the house was very comfortable and well furnished for our needs."

"My husband and I with my son, DIL, and granddaughters ages 6 & 9 stay for the week. There was plenty of games and stuff for the kids and a well appointed kitchen to cook in. The house is roomy and cozy and had easy heating since it was snowing. We will return!"

"I recently stayed at this charming cottage, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. While the cottage itself is a bit old, it is very nice and exceptionally clean. It was fully equipped with everything we needed and well-prepared for our arrival. The neighborhood is also quite lovely—clean, peaceful, and quiet, making it a great place to relax. "I visited for a quick retreat, and picked this cabin because of its proximity to Calaveras Big Trees State Park. The cabin is as-described: good kitchen, comfortable beds, nice views. If you stay here, check out the South Grove trail, it's the best in the park (and it you're here for multiple days, save that trail for last). I am very glad I read the reviews. "Wonderful two weeks in Twain Harte. The large lot was great for the kids to play in. We had deer visit every night. Great location - close to all Twain Harte has to offer. Loved the large deck where we were able to hear the live music coming from the town center on the weekends. Our large group appreciated the two full baths and the washer and dryer was so convenient. Gail was an amazing host. Hope to return here again! "

"We absolutely love the Overlook cabin. It’s nestled into a very quiet court on the Stanislaus river. There are so many things to do in the area. We enjoyed the lake, hiking, fishing, river walks, and having a beautiful place to relax in. The overlook had all of the amenities we needed. "Myself, husband, and kids stayed for 4 days in the heat of summer. There's no ac (we knew that already when we booked) so it works fine if you plan on being out enjoying the lakes during the day, which we did. I'd suggest having 1 or 2 more fans available for air flow. It was already pretty uncomfortably warm inside by 9am and another fan would make sleeping more comfortable. My only real complaint would be pet hair on all the furniture. We didn't feel comfortable sitting on the sofa or widow...
