"Seems like a nice hotel with good spa facilities. We had a non smoking room, but it stank of cigarettes and the bathroom smelt unclean. The hotel staff didn’t speak any English (I no we were in Germany but basic pleasantries would have been nice) so don’t expect any help. Didn’t complain about the smell in the room as unable to make ourselves understood."

"This hotel is more like a bed and breakfast. Very cute, but also very spacious room- more like an apartment. There were even two bathrooms. Great breakfast every morning. Pool was nice- it’s across the street. I wish I was told more about the spa because I seemed to miss my chance to make an appointment for a massage as they have limited hours. 45 min drive to Triberg. There are a couple of local restaurants for dinner around."

"This was a nice hotel for some down time. It is out in a more rural area and super quiet. There is a nice patio or balcony on each room to have a drink, enjoy the scenery and relax for a bit. We had been travelling for days and it was nice to just unwind for a night. We ate at their restaurant which served authentic German food which was really good. The price point for this hotel is more than reasonable for the quality of service snd comfort. "

Hans and Anna are perfect hosts, cheerful, friendly and very welcoming, and and their garden apartment that we stayed in was immaculate and fully equipped with everything that anyone would ever need. "We enjoyed our weeklong stay - the guesthouse was very comfortable and private. The heating system was good and easy to control... the kitchen was well-equipped. We enjoyed visiting the farm animals, the playhouse up the hill, seeing how cheese was made and the trails in the area."

"This is a very large apartment and would work great for a larger group than just the two of us. The location is what makes this place special, you are on a real farm in the countryside but there is a village minutes away for anything you need. For the tow of us it was the perfect Black Forest stay."

"Property was excellent, only thing I would add on the hot days is a second air conditioner for us Americans who are used to cold air. The WiFi is not great for working but fine for browsing the web. Area is beautiful, house is very clean and well equipped and the owner is available at all times. "
