Weeds at the doorstep, dirty windows, cobwebs, grubby carpets, marked walls, dirty coasters, unopened mail in piles, filthy kitchen cupboard shelves, cupboards under stairs full of dirt and untidy, kitchen under sink filthy and stinking, back garden full of weeds, absolutely disgustingly filthy velvet...

"This is an excellent location to stay when staying on Mersea Island. Plenty of restaurants nearby and few minute walk to sea. Well appointed house with good garden facilities, owner in good contact if needed. Thank you"

"A beautiful little cottage very clean and cosy. The main problem was the bathroom downstairs. The stairs were wooden and steep so not suitable for an elderly person. The door frames were low which could be awkward if you were tall. Check out time was 9am which was a bit tight if you wanted to leave it clean and tidy the normal time is 10 am"
