"We loved our stay at Shady Pines! The location is nice and close to Mt Ida, but far enough out of town to be super quiet and peaceful. The beds were both very comfortable and the rooms both had plenty of space to settle into. The chest of drawers in both rooms were both more than enough for our clothes as well and didn't even needs the closet. The bathrooms were well done, had solid water pressure and had enough space. The kitchen was nice, had plenty of counter space and covered everything we needed for our stay. The living room was very comfortable, I loved those recliners!We really enjoyed the outdoor space as well. There was a good table and 4 chairs for playing games and having a few drinks on the porch. We didn't use the BBQ grill, but it looked like a solid option as well. The crystal washing table was a nice touch as we picked up a few on our hikes. Also, if you're into stargazing or astrophotography, the night sky here is fantastic. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. It's a beautiful space that felt very warm and inviting. We'll definitely book this one again on our next trip to the area. "

"Pictures don’t do it justice! The house was immaculate, very well stocked, and stunning. It’s right on the water and gorgeous. We spent hours on the water with the kayaks and paddle boards. We fished a ton. We even saw a bald eagle flying above the backyard! The property is just so serene and peaceful. I very much enjoyed having coffee on the deck each morning and listening to all of the birds. The host was very quick to respond to questions. Beds were very comfortable. We had absolutely everything we needed and more. The scenery is amazing. This vacation was absolutely perfect and we are already discussing when we can return!"
