"Our trip to this hotel was overall a pleasant experience, however a couple of items regarding this hotel need to be addressed. 1. The carpets areceorn and dirty, they need changing or at the very least cleaning. 2. The hot water in the shower takes too long to heat up (approximately a minutes) 3. "We had a lovely stay at Epchris House, which is lovely old Victorian house in a lovely location, walking distance from the centre. "Gorgeous cottage with lots of character, low ceilings in areas but you soon learnt to dodge. All part of the character. Stair banister rail stunning character made from drift wood. All rooms on suite so no fighting over bathrooms and a jacuzzi bath downstairs. The owners were very welcoming and full book with instructions on arrival. As well as lots of ideas of places to visit. Fresh milk in the fridge on arrival and the added dry herbs etc in the kitchen added to the homely feel for the week....

"We loved the Thomas Hardy connection, the history and the stories that Chris told us about the location and history. We loved the friendly atmosphere, warm welcome, and we felt more like family than tourists.
