"We stayed in the Tiny Cedar House rather than the above pictured tiny Adirondack house. It was located on a grassy flat lot along with the Adirondack house and one other tiny/small house, off a beautiful scenic road, 5 min to St Lawrence University and downtown Canton. Pros: 1) very good communication with owner, Dylan. He quickly answered any questions that came up and got us a few more towels promptly when I requested them. 2) Easy check in. "Trout Lake has been an annual summer trip for us for the last 7 years and this house is our favorite rental by far. The cottage is cozy, but well appointed. We love the extensive waterfront in this beautiful cove and spend most of our time on the pontoon, in kayaks, hanging out on the dock or in the game room, and playing in the beautifully clear water. "I’m trying to find the right words but all I can think of was a perfect Adirondack experience with our family. I brought a 16’ motorboat which enhanced the value by being able to explore Cranberry lake and it’s breathtaking. Rich was so nice to deal with and actually reached out a month in advance to answer any questions for our upcoming trip which I thought was really helpful. My teenage girls absolutely loved our trip, Especially catching fish right off the dock….This place is a gem. 10/10"

"We had a great time. The property needs repairs but we weren't looking for perfection. It is a big place and we were able to spread out. The kitchen is great and we spent a lot of time cooking and eating together. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook or bake. There were plenty of paper products for our week stay. We did have to buy drinking water, not because of the discoloration but because it had a salty taste. But was great when cooking because there was know need to...

"The cabin and surrounding area were just what we needed to escape reality and reconnect with nature for a bit. The dull roar of the rapids could be heard in the background, helping add to the feeling of seclusion. Add the crackling of the wood stove which kept us toasty warm, we quickly relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed our time in the cabin as well as in the lovely town of Harrisville.
