STONE BOAT HOUSE


      The house is located in the municipality of Haria (Máguez with 600 inhabitants) in the north of the island, the less crowded tourist area .It is a rural setting and has 5 of the most important tourist centers of the island (Garden cactus, Cueva de los Verdes, Jameos del Agua, Mirador del Río and César Manrique House Museum), designed by the artist himself.
The house, for its location, enjoys extraordinary views of the Atalaya in the south, in the decline of the countryside, the coast, the east side and if we look north we see the magnificent volcano of La Corona.
In Máguez you can find two food shops, three bars and the post office.
There are several hiking trails that leave this area, for those who like to walk and walk to know the environment. And if we beach in 8 minutes drive, we arrived at La Garita Arrieta and other coastal areas, where the Atlantic waters sparkle and invite us to the bathroom for cleanliness and usually good tides.
A 12 km is the dock from where to start Órzola, daily boats to the island of La Graciosa.
The house dates from 1900, built in stone, renovated in 2000 with an area of ​​172 square meters (including garden). It can accommodate 4 people as it has 2 bedrooms. There are 2 floors, the first is the living room with wood stove, bathroom and kitchen and the garden has about 100 meters with a Laurel a Drago a ficus benjamina and other plants. And in the second there are 2 bedrooms, one with double bed and the other with two single beds of 90 cm. , Which you will always be put together if you want. Besides the rooms, there is a wide-oriented and very sheltered from the wind south, with beautiful views and lets you be very happy to do whatever the weather deck.
We are happy to provide information about what to see, where to eat, better schedules etc. Our house is very close to what may arise and we would like if everything is grade I tell others and if there is any defect tell us.
We, Maria and Carlos, have prepared everything with great enthusiasm and as we love to travel and know that when you're away from home, your property is your home, we hope that this corner is, to come a comfortable resting place and pretty.

Amazing views from balcony!
We spent 4 days at this lovely property. It has a quirky design and is decorated with some interesting art pieces and textiles. It looked exactly like the photos and the views were impressive, so much so that it was hard to leave the balcony at times. The beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed for a short stay. The owner was very nice and helpful. We would recommend this property and would return.

10 amazing days in a fantastic place
We had a wonderful time in Maria & Carlos's house, everything was perfect, it could not be better. We enjoyed the quietness of the village, the nice welcome of Carlos, the great view from the terrace , the beautiful garden... In december, having the stove is really nice and a wonderful experience ! The heating blanket in the parents'bedroom is great as well! The village of Maguez is very authentic and the north of Lanzarote is very well preserved. Thanks a lot Maria & Carlos, that was the best place EVER!!!! Nous avons passé un moment merveilleux dans la maison de Maria & Carlos, tout était parfait, on ne pouvait pas faire mieux. Nous avons apprécié la tranquillité du village, l'accueil chaleureux de Carlos, la vue magnifique de la terrasse, le beau jardin... En décembre, avoir le poêle est vraiment agréable et une expérience merveilleuse ! La couverture chauffante dans la chambre des parents est également très bien ! Le village de Maguez est très authentique et le nord de Lanzarote est très bien préservé. Merci beaucoup Maria & Carlos, c'était une magnifique expérience ! Lo pasamos muy bien en la casa de María y Carlos, todo fue perfecto, no podría haber sido mejor. Disfrutamos de la tranquilidad del pueblo, de la cálida bienvenida de Carlos, de la maravillosa vista desde la terraza, del hermoso jardín... En diciembre, tener la estufa es realmente agradable y una experiencia maravillosa! ¡La manta calefactora en la habitación de los padres también es muy bonita! El pueblo de Maguez es muy auténtico y el norte de Lanzarote está muy bien conservado. Muchas gracias María y Carlos, fue una experiencia maravillosa!

"A Gem of a House to Base a Hiking Adventure From"
This quaint stone house located in Maguez is a great place to use as a base if you intend to do a week of hiking in the Haria area, as we did. We were able to walk right from the house in various directions on all 7 days of our stay. Kitchen was small, but had everything one needed to cook with and live in and the heated bed pads and wood stove heater were a pleasant addition on the cooler winter nights. Great hosts and highly recommend this VRBO.

We'll positioned for walking which we enjoyed. We liked the cosyness of the cottage and the stunning views from the balcony. Our hosts were incredibly helpful as we never had our own transport. We enjoyed the stay, and if we went to Lanzarote again would not hesitate in staying there.

Comfortable and charming house with many delightful features
Sitting on the outskirts of a quiet village in the north of Lanzarote, this charming little house has a lovely ambience, very private garden, comfortable beds and a wood burning stove for chilly evenings; it is often cool in the evenings and early mornings as Maguez is at 252m (825 feet above sea level), but this is very welcome on the very hot days! One of the great features of La Casa de Piedra is the way you can spread out - inside in the living area, outside in the garden or on the lovely terrace on the first floor. The terrace is a great place to have breakfast or a sundowner. The kitchen is adequately equipped and we were able to produce some delicious dinners - there's a gas hob and microwave - and there's constant hot water from the calor gas water heater. There is a lovely little hill right by the house - we walked up it several times and it is a particularly pleasant outing in the early morning or late afternoon. We also climbed Montaña de los Helechos - a two hour outing from the house. Although in the far north of the island, Maguez is no more than 45 minutes drive from the volcano and barranco walking in central and south west Lanzarote. We loved Haria, especially on market day, and Arrieta, Orzola and Teguise are within easy reach. The bars in Maguez are friendly places with good beer and interesting local wines and we had a lovely, very cheap meal in the Sociedad. Maria and Carlos are extremely welcoming and friendly and if you like being independent and away from the crowds, we recommend La Casa de Piedra!

Comfortable and well equipped
The lift from the airport was much appreciated. Village is very rural which we liked. Good walks and cycling from property, although fairly demanding. Property is at 1000ft elevation, so not as warm as at the beach. A small shop and 2 bars within a walk. Wonderful rooftop terrace and small garden.

La casa es fantástica, tal y como se vé en las fotos del anuncio, y además super original. Los propietarios te la entregan muy limpia y con todo lo necesario para la estancia, incluso cosas que no pienses que vayan a estar allí que son muy buenos detalles (agua, cervezas, café, infusiones, etc...). Ropa de cama y toallas suficientes y limpias. La sombrilla para ir a la playa es un gran detalle. Destacar el silencio y la tranquilidad que hay en la zona, no se oye apenas un ruido y se duerme muy bien. Es cierto que no está a pie de playa, pero creo que cuando reservas y lo miras en google maps ya lo sabes, y no nos ha supuesto ningun inconveniente, ya que los deplazamientos por la isla son relativamente sencillos. El propietario además nos dió algunas indicaciones sobre el funcionamiento de electrodomésticos y direcciones para comer o sitios que visitar, así como los mejores horarios. Todo muy bien en general. Las dos únicas pequeñas pegas que podríamos poner es que la TV no iba muy bien (no sé si es un problema de la antena) y que el desagüe de la ducha estaba un pelín atascado. En todo caso recomendamos el barco de piedra con mucho gusto y nuestra estancia ha sido inolvidable.

Casa "El Barco der Piedra"
Ein wunderschönes Häuschen abseits vom Tourismus in einer sehr schönen Gegend. Alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Die Vermieter sind ganz reizend und haben alles was man zum Frühstück benötigt besorgt. Hier kommen wir gerne wieder zurück.

Das Haus bietet viel Platz und Komfort. Es liegt am Rande eines stillen Dorfes und ist sehr ruhig. Carlos und Maria sind hervorragende Gastgeber. Das Steinerne Schiff ist eine perfekte Basis für größere und kleinere Exkursionen in die vulkanischen Landschaften Lanzerotes, nahbei in Arrieta und Punta Mujeres finden sich gute Piscinas Naturales.

Das Häuschen war ein Traum für uns. Große, überdachte Balkonterrasse mit tollem Panoramablick. Sehr schöner, nicht einsahbarer Garten mit Liegestühlen. Die Ausstattung ist super. Carlos war ein sehr netter und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Wunderschöner Steilküstenwanderweg in Laufweite (wenn man gut zu Fuß ist). Den Rest der Insel kann man gut mit dem Auto erkunden. Der Norden von Lanzarote ist die Reise sehr wert, wenn man es schroff und außergewöhnlich mag. Volle Empfehlung!

Romantisches Häuschen, toller Gastgeber
Ganz unkomplizierter Kontakt mit einem sehr zuvorkommenden Gastgeber. Herzliche Begrüßung. Nette Goodies in der Küche. Haus mit Liebe eingerichtet. Stets findet man einen Platz mit Schatten. Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Sehr ruhig. Hohe Mauern unten auf der Terrasse schaffen noch mehr Privatsphäre. Kleine Küche, alles Nötige dort. Gelegen in einer Siedlung mit Blick von Balkon auf die Stadt und die Berge. Parken kein Problem. Selbst für den Strand alles vorhanden. Und wenn mal was fehlt, wird es besorgt. Gute Tipps zur Umgebung und zu Restaurants. Vielen Dank für alles.

Sehr schoene Unterkunft nur zu empfehlen
Wir hatten einen wunderschoenen Aufenthalt, das Haus ist komfortable und praktisch, mit super Terrasse und Garten. Juan Carlos war der perfekte Host. Das Haus liegt im "gruenen" Teil von Lanzarote, Wanderungen in der Umgebung sind ein weiteres Plus.Wirklich zu empfehlen!

Toller Aufenthalt in Maguez
Unser Aufenthalt hier für fünf Wochen war sehr schön gewesen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereit. Sie haben uns zur Begrüßung einige Lebensmittel bereit gestellt, was Sonntags sehr hilfreich war. Wir haben uns in diesem historischen Haus in der ursprünglichen Umgebung, weit entfernt vom Massentourismus sehr erholen können. Danke an Carlos und Maria

Wunderschönes Haus in ruhiger Lage zum Wandern und Entspannen
Das Haus ist wunderschön und ideal für Menschen, die die Ruhe lieben und gerne wandern, was man direkt vom Haus aus machen kann. Das Haus ist perfekt ausgestattet, hat einen schönen Garten und Balkon mit Blick auf die Berge, das Dorf und zum Meer. Alles entspricht den Bildern der Anzeige. Auch der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war sehr gut und die Schlüsselübergabe problemlos. Bei Anreise fanden wir Lebensmittel für den ersten Tag vor, persönlich haben wir uns wegen der Feiertage zwar nicht gesehen, der Vermieter stand aber über Whatsapp immer mit uns in Kontakt und hat sich immer wieder nach unserem Wohlergehen informiert. Bei unsereren Fahrten über die Insel sind wir immer wieder zur Feststellung gekommen, das Maguez und Haria zu den schönsten Orten Lanzarotes zählen. In Haria gibt es gute Restaurants und auch in Maguez gibt es zwei Gaststätten, wo man anständig essen kann. Lediglich die Supermärkte in Haria sind etwas spärlich mit Lebensmitteln ausgestattet. Einkäufe sollte man in Arrecife machen. Aber alles in allem ist das Haus auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!!! Jörg (Frankfurt)

Tolle Tage in einem tollen Haus
Carlos war ein perfekter Gastgeber, wir sind nachts mit Verspätung gelandet und der Kühlschrank enthielt ein paar Kleinigkeiten zum Essen und Trinken. Das Haus selbst ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Uns hat absolut nichts gefehlt. Daumen hoch!
