"Stowe is firmly implanted in my brain as an amazing place to visit, and the Timberholm plays a big part of this. Just a few minutes drive outside of the town centre, it's easily accessible and yet far away enough that it feels secluded and peaceful. "Bud was very hospitable and overall great! Externally, very aesthetic and inviting. The interior can definitely use some TLC, but it really also depends on your expectations. It’s a country house so don’t expect anything lavish or over the top. Another reviewer wrote that it’s like staying at grandma’s. Couldn’t agree more. If you like trendy and fancy, this is not the place. If you like rustic, quiet and low key- this will do the job. We enjoyed our stay. "

"Excellent breakfast! Sitting room available for guests was comfy with coffee/tea and delicious homemade cake. All very clean. Our room was small with little area for luggage. Hot/Cold water was reversed, but without my glasses on in the bathroom I couldn't read the script cap on the faucet. We ran the water for quite a while before we figured it out. Randy very knowledgeable about the area and a wealth of information on Stowe and environs. Would definitely stay here again."

"Loved our stay here. Close to Stowe, Bolton Valley and Sugarbush for skiing/snowboarding. Right down from Ben and Jerry’s also. The staff, breakfast and hospitality really couldn’t have been better. Loved the pool. Just be wary the hotel is up a small, but steep hill, so if it’s snowing and you don’t have the proper vehicle it could be difficult to get to parking lot. A stay and value. Thanks!!"

"We wanted a quick little getaway and this was the perfect place. Everything about the property is immaculate - we’ve never stayed at a hotel that was this clean. Even the pool area was super-clean and neat. The staff was extremely personable and attentive. All this location would need is a small restaurant on the premises and it would be perfect - but local restaurants were convenient and even delivered, making this a great location to stay. We’ll be back "
