"Adorable farmhouse! If you’re looking for a place that is in the country yet close to area attractions this is the place for you. The owners were generous and left fresh jam, cider, and snacks. The house was clean and well stocked with the essentials. The only cons and it wouldn’t prevent us from going back, the mattresses could be better and the stairs going to the bedrooms are slippery because they are wood. Overall the property was beautiful and we had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. "

When asked how they wanted to spend our last night in Gettysburg, our children chose to return to Hartlaub House to enjoy a cozy dinner, a campfire, and Civil War cornhole- they LOVED staying here. "The home was old but served its purpose well. It was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It was a little further from the Gettysburg battlefield than I would have preferred but it was the closest I could find that offered 4 beds which we needed. One bathroom was a challenge but we worked around it. The only negative was the street noise from the crossing where the house was located.
