"This was the best little hotel we stayed in while traveling through Scotland. I was skeptical based on reviews. But it was an efficient hotel. No frills, not fancy, older hotel. Could it use a renovation? Yes. Did it bother us? No!! It was clean. Restaurant was traditional. The staff was super sweet and treated us like family. "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for new year's. Self check-in and out was very simple. The staff were really lovely, helpful and down for a chat. The view from our window was magnificent, overlooking the bay. The perfect home base for our explorations on Isle of Skye. "Picked this hotel on a whim, and turned out to be the nicest part of our trip in the Highlands and Islands. A beautiful building with lovely period decor, however still kept up to date where our en-suite had a fabulous wet room with bath. "This charming cottage is even better in person than in pictures. We stayed 3 nights to explore Skye and our host, Liz, kept in constant contact with us to make sure we were taken care of. It felt like home away from home, with the best host we’ve ever had in our lives. There is a nice creek by the cottage to stroll and it is very quiet.
