"We loved the history and character of this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the one thing that let it down was the uncomfortable beds. We stayed in the Nuns room, the beds and the pillows were so hard we didnt have a great night's sleep. A really great place, but we were glad we were only sleeping there for 1 night."

The owners son was running the pub and provided the best level of service I've encountered for a considerable time. the food was probably the highlight with a good diverse choice and without doubt the best value I've ever had.
