"With a family member in the Horton Hospital whately hotel was in a great location to be close by, a 2-minute drive. The hotel has its own free car park through the entryway passage toward the rear of the hotel. I must say I was glad we were in our small car. I pulled in the wing mirrors.. We found access from the parking lot to the garden and into the main building to the front desk. Check-in was straightforward, and we were in the cosy twin room (room 50 overlooking the garden) within a few minutes. After doing a quick check of the room amenities happy to find everything working and clean. The bathroom was great, feat a big overhead shower and a hot bathroom radiator, along with big fluffy bath towels. There was a massive range of TV channels great for relaxing in bed. The ladies at dinner were lovely, a small but nice menu to choose from. The breakfast buffet was okay. Work is ongoing at the hotel, and there were workmen in and around the building during the days. We’re back in a week so really hoping for a similar good experience! :)"

"This is a great place to stay in Stratford. Affordable too. it's right around the corner from Shakepeare;s birth house and it dates back to the 1400s. Shakespeare probably drank here!. The dining options and the food was very good. I loved it. "

"The room was lovely and clean and modern. We also had a balcony. The staff was very polite and helpful. Didn’t try the breakfast but did have a Cotswold ale at the bar the night before which was very nice. "

"Our Christmas stay at the Welcombe Hotel was a nice break. The mansion is stunning, set in 157 acres of beautiful grounds, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot deer roaming around. The spa was good to have—the indoor pool, Swedish sauna, and outdoor vitality pool made for a nice way to unwind, and the thermal rooms were a nice touch. A very big shoutout to Sara and Muhammed, who were incredibly helpful and always welcoming. Their service really stood out. Breakfast was OK-ish—not bad, but nothing special. Christmas lunch, on the other hand, was disappointing—it felt like a missed opportunity given how nice everything else was. The bar had a good atmosphere, and I liked the local wine, but the overall drinks selection could have been better. Overall, despite the food not being great, the Welcombe Hotel was a lovely Christmas getaway—a beautiful setting, good service, and a peaceful place to relax."
