"Our room was really comfortable and very homely but tastefully decorated at the same time. Good bed and good cooking facilities. The kitchen was well stocked. We had beautiful gum trees with koalas right near our door. American River is a great location as its half way between Penneshaw and Kingscote. We really enjoyed our stay."

"I enjoyed my stay at American River in this rustic cabin set in a relaxed bush setting close to American River inlet . Victoria was an excellent host providing lots of valuable tips on the area and ferry bookings etc . "

"Property owner was very good at communicating before we arrived and was very accommodating to our needs once we arrived. Location was convenient. We walked around the property at dusk and saw several wallabies."

"The room was so clean, well presented & had everything we needed for our stay.From the Koala’s in the tree out the front & the wildlife that come out @ night ( right out the front of the room) were fantastic to see & watch.Would definitely recommend staying here."

Unknown to me or the other neighbours upon speaking to them they didn't know the place had another cabin on the property, I, like them thought we had our own fenced off areas.. the laundry sink was dirty.. I didn't use the bar as it had a very dusty layer off dust. Cob webs minor but alot.. some of the dishes were not cleaned properly. Had no idea how to use the sound system, lol.. I couldn't for the life of me light the fire, Reasons for extra...

"My wife and I treated ourselves on Kangaroo Island by staying at the Villa's on the Bay at Kingscote. We had four night's in villa (5) and everything was perfect. The location of the villas is handy to the shops, hotels and eateries etc. Our villa had it's own full kitchen and laundry with everything in good working order, a garage for the car and an outside area to relax in. The location of the villas is handy to the shops, hotels and eateries etc. Our villa had it's own full kitchen and laundry with everything in good working order, a garage for the car and an outside area to relax in.
