"A 1 night stay for work reasons. The pub and food are excellent with a good selection at a reasonable price. My room was comfortable but very cold due to the old leaking sash windows. All in all for the price it's ok for a 1 night stay. "

We dined in the restaurant and the food was tasty and well prepared. We would definitely stay here again. Easy walk to some local trails and town was an easy walk or drive down the road. Thank you"

"Lovely welcome, clean, warm comfortable room. The only problem was, I was unable to eat at the premises on Monday evening this time of year. Apparently they start serving.evening meals again on Monday evenings come March time."

The food was good although it was obvious things were just getting going. I felt safe and it was nice to be in a lovely English village for the evening. "Pros: Great location if you’re visiting / doing business in Ampthill. Great food and drinks downstairs. The staff were always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Cons: no on premise parking. Closest parking is a municipal lot…10 pounds for 24 hours. When I checked in my room was made up as 2 singles instead of a double as requested. Beds were a tad small & uncomfortable. Walls are thin, I could hear my neighbors “chatting” until midnight the night before I was planning on checking out. Otherwise...
