"This hotel lived up to the great ratings it has received...and then some. Every employee we encountered was warm and friendly. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, the rooms lovely. Best was all the elephant themed art work throughout the property. It was like walking in a modern art museum!"

"Sigiriya Village exceeded our expectations- for its pricing, it puts a strong foot forward to provide comfort and quality service. This is not a ‘fancy’ stay, but it was clean and the rooms were spacious. The location boasts an amazing view of Sigiriya Rock and it does not disappoint. We had the buffet for breakfast included in our stay (which was great!). I’d highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to climb Sigiriya Rock (location and convenience to entrances is perfect!). The property is also excellent for group bookings (bungalow/village style) was fantastic. Highly recommend! "

"A little bit of frustration as it could be a gem, but the attention to details in the room make it average. Service was excellent, food was superb and properly priced, rooms were big and well designed, the flaw lies in the attention to details. Mosquito marks on the walls, cracks not plastered, gaps in doors that allowed bugs and animals (geckos and frogs) to come inside, mosquito net in shower room with wide gaps…I would be expecting this not to happen in a 4 star hotel"

"Spent two nights, 3 days at this property recently while touring around at Pinnawela, Sigiriya, Dambulla and Minneriya. Great location to visit all those sites. Excellent service with a smile. Buffets were plentiful and delicious, great variety. Pool was so relaxing and lush gardens that were well kept really felt like paradise. Disappointed after Covid there is no spa/massage option as that would have been perfect. Stayed in a large room with separate room with door. 2 adults, 3 teens. Teens loved the food, pool and lush gardens. Special mention to Ravi and Felix who were very attentive to us during our stay."

"We loved our 3 night stay here .The hotel was everything we could have asked for - wonderful ,friendly staff(shout out to Champika and Dilshan and everyone else ),lovely accomodation and the food was exceptional.We came here straight from Colombo airport with our excellent driver ,Dushan Theekshana and while here we climbed Sigiryia Rock ,visited Dambulla caves ,enjoyed a wonderful local cultural show in Habarana and will take in Polonnaruwa on our way to Uga Bay .We could have done a safari but we are doing one later in our trip . So glad we came to Sri Lanka and equally glad we picked this hotel ."
