"Directions to the property were poor; when we eventually found it, no-one was there. Fortunately we found a neighbour who contacted the owner's representative, and we gained entry about an hour later. The house had not been prepared, not cleaned etc. The bed arrangements were unsatisfactory: the 'master' bedroom had two single beds pushed together - I have never slept in such an uncomfortable bed. Three of the single beds were on upstairs landings, and so children did not get to sleep...

"We really enjoyed our time in Maria’s place. She gave us a lovely welcome and made us feel at home. We loved all the space and the house and grounds were beautiful. "This property was amazing! Beyond gorgeous! Josè was extremely attentive and fixed anything that was needed. The only negative was although a couple fans were provided, it was extremely hot so we actually bought screens for a few of the windows to allow for air and to prevent bugs. "

"I was expecting, and have had, a far higher standard for the price. I wish I had taken more notice of the number of external photographs against interior shots as the only redeeming feature of this place is the outside area. The house itself is of a very low standard. Everything feels old. Not rustic, not traditional, not authentic, OLD! "The apartment was lovely, perfect for 1-2 persons, with a great view from the balcony. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Leonor. The location was fantastic, very close to the Bolhão market, the metro, dining, shopping and groceries. It was easy to walk to the historic district and the river.
