"What a beautiful property! As soon as we arrived, we were excited from opening the front door. A very spacious area for 2 families to spend some time away from the norm! Everything we needed was already catered for. From blankets on the sofa and dog bowls to a full kitchen of utensils. Very comfortable beds and well presented. The layout allowed us to all be in one house but have our own down time if needed. The hot tub was amazing and well used by all. Grateful for the daily pH level checks...

"We stayed for a week in December during a hard time for our family, and the property was just what we were after; rural, quiet and calm, with a lovely pub just yards away. The only issue we ran into was that the dishwasher was too small to clean the plates provided. But the owner was pleasant, the wood burner made things cost, and the bathroom was clean. "We stayed over the Christmas period with all of the family and the house was just perfect. Sarah and Kim were there to greet us and made us feel very welcome. The house was decorated for Christmas and was absolutely spotless and very comfortable. The house had everything we needed, a formal room where we could all be together and also lots of cosy snugs. The grounds were also well kept and we enjoyed walking around the garden. Would highly recommend the house to anybody wishing to find somewhere...

However, our otherwise enjoyable experience was let down by the lack of attention to detail, in terms of house-keeping and maintenance/repair. When paying a top-end price (about 7k for 4 nights) it was disappointing that several lights did not work (including bathroom lights, dining room main light, bathroom mirror light), the Aga never got up to cooking temperature even after 4 days...
