"Bos de Penit was an excellent location for 26 dear friends to talk, eat and play. Very quiet, lots of public space for people to gather. Superb grill. Incredible 30 foot long table with view of surrounding nature. Pool was lovely. We hired a chef for three nights which was a very positive addition to our stay. We recommend this location for groups who want to maximize time together in a peaceful setting."

"Our third stay at this villa and the first with Fabrice the new owner, who has made numerous improvements. It was good before and is now excellent. The weather for our second week was wet and chilly, so could have done with the pool being heated, but understand this is one of the plans for next year. We will definitely try to go back again."

"We had a lovely stay in Julia’s beautiful house at the end of August. The house has everything you need and beautiful furniture and amazing views from the balcony. The garden is on several levels and is fun to explore! Lalinde is in the perfect location for a holiday in the Dordogne and we went canoeing, paddle boarding and cycling as well as visiting lots of local towns and markets. Our teenagers loved the local vide-greniers ( car boot sales)! Merci Julia!"

However, on the evening of day two we found several mice in the main living area and soon afterwards we found at least 4 more running around the kitchen. My wife and other family members were extremely upset. Many of my party wanted to leave immediately. They found it very hard to be in the building with mice running around. The house has absolutely everything that you need for a prolonged stay and with a car is conveniently located for grocery shopping etc. The area is absolutely beautiful and the wines are very good. "This is a great place to relax. The house is in a beautiful part of rural France, a very short distance from the Dordogne River, and we had a great time. The outdoor dining area is great for family meals, you will not even have to use the kitchen as there is a cooker, sink, fridge and dishwasher, as well as BBQs right besides the pool. The house will comfortably sleep 14, but one slight issue is the lack of air conditioning in the single dowmstairs bedroom, not an issue for us, as we all slept...
