"It is really a superb hotel. In Matera to be able to sleep in a room "cave" is quite special. The room #5 is large and had everything we needed except a big mirror. The only one was a small square one in the open bathroom above the lavabo and the lighthening was more romantic then useful there! "We arrived after 6:00 PM on a Saturday, so parking down the street was convenient and free. It was just a short walk from there, but the hotel itself was a little difficult to find because the sign on the building is tiny. The room was beautiful--clean and super comfortable. There isn't much directly by the hotel, but a couple of blocks away is a very nice area with shops and several restaurant choices. "

"This place is very remote. Dark to get to at night. Check went as promised except our Canadian credit card wouldn’t work in their payment machine. So ended up paying cash. Property is very cute. I heated pool. We passed on breakfast so can’t comment on that. Room was very clean. Safe. Must have a car. 20 minutes drive to Bari. Peaceful and quiet. "

"Very central and convenient to visit on foot the old city as well as the more recent parts of town, including the central station. The flip side is that the area is busy and noisy, but safe. The property is very clean, in a well maintained building, the host is responsive and courteous, the breakfast provided in a pleasant nearby cafe. Guests in other rooms were noisy at times, but this is out of the control of the host. Overall, I was pleased with my 1 night stay."

"My husband, my 6 year old daughter, and I had a lovely stay at Water Run for our first vacation to the Bari area. It was a short car ride to many beautiful places and we appreciated the private pool on the really hot days and nights. The house is on a busy road but we felt very secure behind a remote controlled gate. The manager was very friendly and helpful, and easy to reach. "It is on the second floor. There are atairs but of course if you want to be in the old town with a lovely view of the streets this is generally the case. Great shower great airconditioning. Two things I always think is important. The bedrooms are separate from the bathroom but it's not really a problem. Great location. You are in the middle of the beautiful old town. Antonio and Stella were attentive and easy to contact. We enjoyed our short stay. Thank you."
