"Most beautiful room ever with every upgrade imaginable. Location was convenient for travel but need to walk about 20 minutes for a decent restaurant. No breakfast options so when you stay for multiple days too many croissants. Staff was wonderful. "

"The hotel was clean and easy to access. However, it was supposed to include breakfast and A/C. Even though the A/C was set to 16 degrees, the room was steamy hot. We could not find breakfast and the hotel would not return our phone calls; we even left the messages in Italian. As such, I cannot recommend this hotel, as the accommodations are misleading and the service was terrible. "

"B&B was in a great location with easy access to all attractions. Easy check in. The 2 most important things for me not matter where I’m staying are a hot shower and a comfortable bed. Both were fantastic. The room was very spacious. Fulvio was on hand. I was really pleased to see that there was a map of the city available. Lovely City. I recommend a visit. 😊"

"The property has potential but it’s not very welcoming. The room was hot and the mattress rolled us to the middle. Out of the way, so it’s quiet. But you aren’t going to get a warm reception. "

"This is an amazing small hotel out of the way. If you find yourself lucky enough to be in the area, it is a Must stay. Staff treats you as if you were family and their is an absolutely Fantastic Steak House in the rear. The most wonderful steaks at an unbelievable cost. You will NEVER forget this stay. Worth going out of your way to find this gem."

"Prenotazione effettuata, ricevuta conferma via email da hotels.com, mi presento nella struttura alle 9.30 di sera dopo 4 ore di auto e il proprietario candidamente mi dice : io non ho confermato niente. Alla fine era dispiaciuto e visibilmente imbarazzato per il misunderstanding ma alla fine ho dovuto cercare un altra sistemazione"

"Comfortable apartment with a serviceable kitchen. No microwave and little hot water for dishes. The shower had hot water. Washing machine is old and rusty on outside and the door doesn’t fully open because of the bidet. Just be careful using it. It does clean! Smart TV in bedroom only. Quiet location. It’s an easy stroll into the town center, train station and port, but a decent climb back up! We were very comfortable in the apartment. Salerno is great for day trips to Amalfi, Paestum...

"I would definitely stay at Hotel Montestella again. It is centrally located in Salerno in that if you walk in one direction, you reach the "Old town" with the restaurants and shops, Cathedral and beach part in 10-15 minutes and if you walk in the other direction, you reach the train station in 8 minutes. If you go "down" you reach the "strip walkway" in 2 minutes. The staff were helpful and allowed us to check in early at 1230 and let us check out late at 1130. There is also a nice lobby with couches that we hung out at because our train didn't leave till 1600 and the staff told us it was no problem to hang out as long as we needed to. The breakfast was really good--coffee machines made cappuchinos and lattes, and there were scrambled eggs, sausages, an assortment of pastries, bread, fruit, and cereal. I also appreciated that the yogurt was refridgerated--we stayed at several hotels in Europe and yogurt was sometimes left out at room temperatures. The only thing to note about this hotel and it's not their fault--there is construction on the road in front of it. The earliest we heard anything was 0830 and the latest was 1730, so it did not bother us at all, but thought I would mention in case people are sensitive to noise during those times. I would definitely stay here again and recommend Hotel Montestella to anyone staying in Salerno."
