"Great hotel, warm welcome from the lady at reception. Breakfast great, thanks to the chef for being a waiter and the cook! Use of the leisure facilities in sister hotel was great but construction work being undertaken so some areas out of bounds. (Sunday Dinner there was amazing!) Thank you! "

"A very warm and friendly welcome on arrival. Told of all the best places to eat and which ones to avoid. Rooms all warm, and plenty of hot water for showers. For breakfast you had a good selection of freshly cooked food. "

"I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The hosts were fantastic – attentive and welcoming – and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms were clean and tidy, though a little on the small side. Parking was straightforward, which made the experience even more convenient."

"A beautiful little room tucked away at the top of bowness, nice and quiet and perfectly situated to get into town. Michelle was wonderful making sure everything was ok with our stay and our dog was very well catered for with treats, bowls and a bed provided!"

"Kevin and Tracey were the perfect hosts. I booked the room very short notice after arriving in Ambleside but was greeted by Kevin who showed me where to park, my room, and pointed out the best pubs and restaurants to visit in the evening. I used the secure parking down the road which was handy (Not sure what I selected on the parking section of the previous page of this review as the options were blank for some reason). "A lovely place run by a very nice couple. They prioritised cleaning our room to ensure we could check in early to get ready for a wedding. We had a cozy double and although small was great for a one night stay. The bed was comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was amazing too. All in all, a lovely place to stay (with the added advantage of onsite parking in the centre of Windermere) "
