"This was a very special chance for my daughter and I to visit Kruger Park. So I opted for a special place to stay - Kruger Shalati. We stayed in a train car on the bridge. "Picked imbali as a good place for a short 3 day safari. Food portions were large and of good quality . There are some areas where the wood at the lodge and around the property need some replacement but overall didn’t detract from a lovely setting . Watering hole for elephants is directly opposite the restaurant area so good for breakfast and lunch . Safari drives were good and Jayden did a great job for us . "Generally incredible stay. Staff were very attentive. Not as luxury as hotels such as say lion sands which is twice the price though you get all the comfort you need given how busy the days are. "We liked the hosts Colin and Carolien so much. They could not do enough for us. We asked for a bigger room and we got the biggest room I have ever had in a lodge! They even drove us to get food and were such great company. The lodge was brilliant - very African. Zebras came right up to us! the wildlife in Marloth Park is very tame. The lodges are African style so quite dark as designed to be cool. Colin and Carolien had a generator which worked when the power was out which was often. "
