We then left for town and upon our return, we were shocked and dismayed to discover that someone had come into our room and turned off the air conditioning. "Nice welcome. Enclosed parking lot so no need to worry about dings or squeezing the car into a haphazard slot. Room simple but clean, well-appointed with comfortable bed.Tasty (Sicilian) buffet style breakfast - enough to fill a range of preferences. Flagging that there is nothing cooked (if that's important for you). Patio great for eating or simply chilling and the place is quiet. "My family and I had a wonderful stay at Alvise’s country cottage! He was incredibly friendly and helpful as a host. "We stayed for 9 nights at the end of July 2024 and had a lovely time. The accommodation is great and large enough for a family of 9 (teens +). The host is brilliant and personally met us despite arriving at midnight. A car is needed to get to any amenities, but within a few minutes drive there are plenty of restaurants and the beaches are fabulous. Recommend a visit and boat trip from Cefalu."
