Es war eine saubere und angenehme Unterkunft mit allem, was man braucht, nur nachts war es in den Betten sehr heiß, vielleicht waren noch Winterlaken auf den Betten. Nur ein bisschen mehr Privatsphäre im Garten wäre schön gewesen. Die Besitzer hatten das Bedürfnis, aus ihrem Fenster nach uns zu schauen, um zu sehen, ob der Grill in der richtigen Position war oder was auch immer; Ansonsten ein angenehmer Aufenthalt, aber für mehr Privatsphäre miete ich lieber ein separates Chalet

Der Schlüssel musste zwischen 16 und 17 Uhr an der 12 km entfernten Rezeption von Ardennes-online abgeholt werden, wo uns ein äußerst freundlicher Herr unter anderem die recht strengen Mülltrennungsregeln erklärte. Und wie sich herausstellte, war dieser freundliche Herr das einzig Gute an diesem Haus. Als wir am Haus ankamen, begrüßte uns der Gestank einer halbvollen Mülltonne in der prallen Sonne im Garten, aus dem bereits Maden krochen. Der Garten selbst war noch mit altem Spielzeug der Hunde und Kinder der Vormieter ausgestattet. Das Haus selbst roch ziemlich stickig, was für einen alten, umgebauten Bauernhof nicht verwunderlich ist. Den modrigen Geruch mit einem Hauch von Pisse konnten wir nur übersehen. Die Maden, die sich inzwischen in Fliegen verwandelt hatten, hatten damit offenbar kein Problem und folgten uns in Scharen hinein. Eine kleine Inspektion reichte aus, um zu dem Schluss zu kommen, dass die 80-Euro-Reinigungsgebühr nur ein Besen durch das Haus bedeutete, wenn man unter anderem die getrockneten Joghurtflecken auf dem Tisch sowie Spielzeug und anderen Müll unter den Schränken berücksichtigte. Die Bettwäsche roch nach Schimmel und Schweiß, und eines der Kissen im Kinderzimmer hatte die Farbe des Pissegeruchs in der Küche angenommen, ungeachtet der Tatsache, dass wir im Kinderzimmer noch Gipsreste zwischen Matratze und Bettdecke fanden. Da es mittlerweile schon nach 17 Uhr war und uns mitgeteilt worden war, dass die Notrufnummer außerhalb der Bürozeiten eigentlich nur für Notfälle da sei, beschlossen wir, dies am nächsten Morgen zu melden. Die Dusche war zwar etwas klein geraten, aber das wussten wir schon aus den vorherigen Bewertungen. Was uns nicht bewusst war, war, dass das überlaufende Duschwasser durch die schimmelige Plane in der Dusche direkt ins Wohnzimmer gelangte. Das Reinigen des Geschirrs war nicht in den Reinigungskosten enthalten, wurde aber offenbar auch nicht kontrolliert, da alles, was wir aus dem Schrank genommen haben, noch einmal gespült werden musste, da es aussah, als wäre es nur gespült und im Schrank gelassen worden.

Het appartement was verder schoon en alles was er wat je nodig had. Maar een groot minpunt voor ons was dat je alleen maar een toilet boven had en voor iemand slecht ter been (zoals ik zelf momenteel) net geopereerd, dit ontbreekt in de beschrijving van de akkomodatie. Met honden er zijn is in verband met vlak aan de weg is ook geen aanrader!

Zeer fijne mensen en een heel leuke ontvangst. Het huisje is perfect zoals wij het willen. Alles is aanwezig (meer dan in vele andere vakantiewoningen). Fijn dat ook honden mee op vakantie mogen en in de tuin kunnen/mogen rondlopen. Via Komoot zijn er heel wat wandelingen naast de traditionele te vinden. Genoten van een zeer fijne midweek.
