"A great place to stay surrounded by orange groves which were in flower and provided delicious oranges for our breakfast. Very easy to walk into Silves with many good places to eat. Easy to get to the coast and we ventured further inland. Great communication with the host. Lovely sitting out on the terrace by the pool looking at the cows and donkeys and watching the storks flying around and on their nests. Such friendly people. "

"Fantastic experience! The Hobbit House is compact but extremely comfortable and functional! The hosts were very kind and hospitable, offering us a welcome basket with fresh eggs, bread and orange juice. They also shared lots of excellent suggestions for places to visit and even shared homemade sausages and regional wine with us! The surrounding farm is very quaint and we enjoyed feeding the horse and goats! An added bonus was being able to hold newly hatched chicks! The farm is minutes outside of the town centre of Silves so you get a “hidden away” experience with quick access to all the amenities of the town nearby! Truly a wonderful spot and we would definitely come again!"

"Un posto meraviglioso, immerso nella natura ma comunque vicino a un centro abitato con negozi e supermercati e a vie principali di comunicazione, quindi ottima base per visitare l'Algarve e il basso Alentejo. Wolf è un ottimo host, presente nella proprietà e sempre disponibile per fornire assistenza e consigli. Il luogo è spettacolare, silenzioso e perfetto per le passeggiate o lunghi giri in kayak sul lago (sono arrivato alla diga e tornato, un pomeriggio splendido). Consigliatissimo"

"Fantastic hotel-clean, comfortable, modern rooms in a quiet rural setting. Short 10 minute drive to town. The breakfast was incredible-farm fresh and delicious. We cannot say enough positive things about Quinta da Luz…except that our stay was too short."

"Beautiful property, quiet and serene however, if you don’t have a car, it would be tricky to get around if you are looking to explore. It is quite far from things. Paderne also looks like a deserted town and restaurants are always closed. "
