"I had not realized on booking that the second bedroom was in the loft and accessible by a wooden loft ladder. Both my sister and I are retired and neither of us could get the ladder down. We decided not to contact Helen as we wouldn't have been able to go up and down the ladder anyway. It is very steep and doesn't have any handrailsThe property itself is an old style cottage with a good size kitchen which had some groceries to start us off. "My husband and I loved our stay in this beautiful little cottage. The Cottage had everything needed for daily living and the kitchen was well equipped. Kinross is an amazing little town and the location is perfect. Dawn is a wonderful host. Highly recommend staying here! "

"I stayed in this cottage for 11 nights with my dog, my Mum came to visit for the weekend too. Kate and Cameron we're very welcoming, and went to extra lengths to make my stay enjoyable. A lovely touch was the welcome tray with tea, coffee and delicious shortbread! Not to mention a nice bottle of prosecco. "We had a lovely time in Freuchie at Homlea Cottage. Property was exactly as described and extremely clean. No complains or issues. Very cozy and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone! "

"We had a lovely time staying here. The cottage was immaculate, warm and comfortable. The shower was powerful and hot, the sofa comfortable as was the bed. It’s not often we’ve had all those boxes ticked in one property. The garden to the back was large and very pretty but we didn’t sit in it due to the time of year and we were out and about a lot. However, in better weather it would definitely be a bonus.There is lots to see around the area and you’re perfectly situated to do this...

"Ideal location with charming village area nearby. Easy walk to local pub and to the water. Flat was spacious and well equipped; but could have used a bit more maintenance and some air freshener (near the sea, so a bit of a damp, musty smell). It was a bit farther from central Edinburg (~40 min) than I had expected; but the quaint village feel of the area was well worth the few extra minutes drive. All in all a nice place to support local sight seeing and day trips."
