"The Hogs Head Inn was a great place to stay to explore Northumberland, with convenient bus and train connections to the beach and historic sites. Staff were very helpful, the breakfast was ample and delicious as were dinner selections. I will seriously consider related hotels when returning to the UK. "

"A lovely friendly and welcoming place. Our room had a great fresh and clean smell as we entered and when I requested extra little milk cartons I was asked if I preferred fresh milk - oh yes. The beds were very comfy. Just what we needed. A table was reserved for our evening meal and it didn't disappoint. I hadn't expected the possibility of a roast Sunday dinner on the evening, and it was amazing, delicious and I didn't leave a scrap. My hubby was just as thrilled with his steak and ale pie....

"We had a really excellent 5 day stay. Our room (3) was huge with 2 kingsize beds and a large sofa. Bathroom was also a good size. The breakfast was good with excellent friendly, prompt service. A really good location for visiting the area and not too busy. Parking was never a problem. It would have been useful to have some plug-in bed side lights rather than battery operated nightlights. "Stayed in River Till room, really spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had a separate claw foot bath which was wonderful after long days of walking. Only small complaint was that there was no shelving etc in the bathroom to store toiletries. We booked evening meals each night and they were delicious and generous portions.
