While the place is immaculate and the staff lovely it is located very close to a noisy road. It’s not a problem if you keep the window closed as the double glazing is very efficient but if you want to sit outside on the lovely deck it’s pretty annoying and not at all what we expected for a luxury vineyard escape.

Great accommodation, fantastic meal at the restaurant and really helpful staff. The cave and winery tour was excellent, and daily included wine tasting with Alex was a delight. Highly recommend to visit, stay and relax.

We loved our stay at this property. My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights to just relax and decompress. The Lodge and The Winery Restaurant is a must! I highly recommend for wine lovers. We bought three bottles for when we return home. Definitely returning again!

Gibbston Valley Lodge & Spa was without a doubt the best lodging experience that we had on our trip. The property is beautiful. The restaurants were delicious. The staff were delightful. We had been on the road for a few days, and the lodge was the perfect place for us to relax and recharge for the rest of our trip. We took a chance to use the hot pools and sauna which were convenient to schedule and private. We also enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting which provided great wine and a nice opportunity to meet some of the other guests at the lodge. If we find ourselves back on the South Island, we will be back to Gibbston Valley Lodge & Spa.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. We stayed for 7 nights and it was amazing. The lodges are beautiful and maintained to the highest standards. Facilities are awesome, restaurant is awesome, staff are awesome and willing to help with literally anything. I asked if they were able to organise some flowers for my wife as we were on our honeymoon and they went above and beyond. Can't express how nice the place is, the cellar door and cheesery is also fantastic. Bike hire on site was also a massive tick of approval. 11/10, would stay ten times over.
