"Life House Berkshires looks great, but no one actually works there. Or at least that's how it seemed during our stay. I never got the welcome text they said I would get to be able to communicate with staff. I called the 800 number once to try to get someone and couldn't get a person. I finally did get a person the next time I tried that number and that was to tell them that when we came back for the day after housekeeping had been there, our sink was clogged with muddy water. Not sure if it was...

"We had a great stay. Pool was great, room was good, the pull out couch was a little uncomfortable, but when aren't they. The game room needed updating as one arcade machine was broken. Kitchen was great in the room, and the whole hotel had a good vibe to it!"

"Alander is a great place to stay. Room is spacious clean. Bed is comfortable and nice. Decor is over the top. Bathroom is neat and clean. Most of all the staff is accommodating, accessible and responsive to our request even it was late. Love the idea of promoting local products. Love the coffee! The restaurant North Star is superb food was great. Hopefully we can go back in spring. Despite the snowstorm we still enjoyed our stay. "

"The lodge was amazing. The rooms were huge and very very spacious, including the bathrooms. Extremely clean and the mattress and pillows were the most comfortable ones I’ve ever come across in a hotel room. The staff was very friendly and warm. Unfortunately they were shutting down for business and I was apparently the last guest to checkout! I wish they’d keep it running. I’d go back to the catskills just to stay there!"
