"Lovely spacious villa with plenty of room for 10-12 people, and lots of dining and sitting space inside, and outdoor space. It was very warm during our stay, and as the villa doesn't have air conditioning it did get warm inside. Some more fans would be useful, as opening windows does increase outside noise. "Le site est magnifique avec une vue extraordinaire. Pas de communication et difficile de trouver le nom de la cabane arrivée sur place. Pas de clôture avec le chien des voisins locataires qui vient te hurler dessus. C’est dommage pour le calme recherché. Le restaurant panoramique est très bon avec de belles balades et les cascades a 1H en voiture. "

"Beautiful property with lovely views with everything you could possibly need catered for. The swimming pool was always inviting and Sofia was always at hand when needed. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking to get away from it all but still within a short drive from the lovely town of Ponte de Lima and also only half hour drive from the likes of Braga and 40 minutes from Porto which were all worth a visit."

"Property was well equipped and the hosts really welcoming, with generous welcome back of produce - even rescued us when we got lost in the countryside on the way! Outside kitchen, pool, scenery and games room fabulous. Property typical of the area so very dark inside but when weather is great there is hardly any need to be inside - we cooked outside for all our meals including breakfast. Position is a bit out of the way for some of the north Portugal towns we like to visit so needed the car and...

"La casa está en una aldea muy alejada de todo. La casa es como la casa de Dracula, oscura, no hay casi luz, es imposible mirarte en ningún espejo ya que no hay luz, no puedes ni afeitarte. El menaje de cocina es lamentable y muy sucio, en las habitaciones no hay perchas, las puertas de la cocina se desmontan , las camas están rotas ……el olor a humedad es impresionante tardo 2 días en irse con ambientadores , las duchas son lo peor no funcionan bien y están mal hechas …..hay algo bueno ? Si fuera...

Gastvrouw Madelena zorgt met haar man Luis al zo'n veertig jaar voor haar gasten opdat deze herenboerderij kan blijven bestaan in al haar goed onderhouden glorie. Ideale ligging in de Minho. Veel beter ga je niet vinden."

"We spent a wonderful 6 days at Casa Grande Carlota. Antonio was very helpful with any enquiries we had before our trip and we were greeted warmly on our arrival. The house is exactly as described - or even better. We were amazed at how well equipped it was. The pool is great and there are so many different areas to sit and relax both inside and outside. The covered barbecue area/outdoor kitchen is brilliant and we ate out there every night. There is a very good supermarket in Terras de Bouro....

"Northern Portugal is amazing, with history around every corner. And Ponte de Lima is close to all the early battles with Spain and the coast from which the explorers set out. We found castle after castle and saw ancient grape vines being harvested. Madelena and Luis showed us their beautiful estate that is, in a way, preserving the historic beauty of the Vinho Verde region."
