Beautiful, traditional-style inn. Very clean and comfortable accommodations. Only drawback is that most dining options in the area close quite early (by 8pm), so plan accordingly!
Extremely comfortable in every way, best linen and high quality mattress, comfortable and useful furnishings, spacious bathroom - felt very luxurious and much enjoyed!
One of the few available accommodations in the area with actual Hotel flair and not an AirBnB. The rooms are renovated with brand new bathrooms. Everything's clean and there is free coffee, tea, milk and even port. Barker's estery for breakfast right next door is icing on the cake.
This boutique hotel has just six rooms completely updated with highest quality fit and finishes. Super quiet. Comfy. Upstairs and downstairs common sitting rooms to relax and read.
The hotel was great, it was just a shame that the nighttime dining options are limited and a lot of attractions were closed. But the hotel was top notch.

The Vicarage is all class, tastefully refurbished and modern inside
It’s the little things that make the difference and this place has them
Close to shops and eateries, we loved it
We were very impressed with the Vicarage property and of course our beautiful room/un-suite. The comfort of the huge bed, and fantastic front windows! The magnificent bathroom & shower…our compliments to the designer. The room’s accoutrements were a pleasant addition and made us feel very comfortable, specially the Nespresso coffee maker! The guest sitting room was an added bonus and we enjoyed eating a take home meal in comfort. The Vicarage staff were very hospitable & personable. The decor of the Vicarage should be award worthy. The added bonus of the Barkers Foodstore & Restaurant being on the same property should also be rated as 5 Stars.!.
We will be back to enjoy more comfort and hospitality of the Vicarage and the surrounding community.
We loved our stay at the Vicarage- the room was impeccably presented, very comfortable and quiet.
The location is great, we walked everywhere, and the shop/food store behind was a bonus.
Very well managed turn key operation that does not require any staff interaction to come and go. Lovely place to stay with modern facilities in a historical house. I would stay here again without a doubt.
Fantastic property in a great location.
Superb furnishings and spotlessly clean.

Dining and takeaway options nearby.
Lovely little town
One of the best places we have stayed in for a long time.
There was a amazing attention to detail in this restored building which made a very comfortable and quiet stay.
We loved the decor and the beautiful large bed.
We would highly recommend The Vicarage as a luxurious
stay.
This place is absolutely lovely and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a special night away.
My only suggestion would be a note next to the Nespresso machine letting you know decaf pods were available in the sitting room as we only found these the morning after our stay and I do prefer to drink decaf in the evenings.
Absolutely FAULTLESS. What a beautifully restored, well equipped, comfortable and clean hotel. Will be returning! Barkers next door is also one of the best cafes in the world.
