"Place was quiet and clean and convenient to Custer State Park. Lots of deer, turkeys, etc around the property and Forest Service trails are just across the road. Be aware this is not a separate cabin, it is a unit in a building of three units so you will likely have neighbors. That was not at all clear from the online listing. Fortunately it was not a big issue during our trip, but it could be if neighbors are loud or have lots of kids."

"An amazing little town with such an adorable lodge at the heart of it. The owner was so sweet and kind. This was our favorite stay throughout our 8 day cross country trip from VA to WA."

"It's not the Waldorf Astoria but that wasn't the intent. If you're looking for a clean friendly stay in a beautifully walkable setting this is it. Apart from the somewhat dated accomodations (hey, it was a tad rustic but it evoked pleasant feelings of nostalgia for this 60-something boomer) I couldn't have asked for a quiter room nestled on the shore of a beautiful lake (well, reservoir) and park. Plus we had the added benefit of being there outside of the tourist season. I'll be back."

"The house set in the middle of mostly pine trees provided much quietness and relaxation. The hot tub was perfect after our long days of hiking. The kitchen was well stocked with the necessary cooking and dining supplies. The house was large enough that 8 adults were never in each other’s way. The only downside to our visit was that our destinations either to the various tourist areas or to the closest town for groceries took minimally 30 minutes, so one needs to plan accordingly. "Spacious property with never ending views. There were 20 of us, and the space was exceptional. The 3 fridges, 2 ovens and dishwashers, and never ending supplies were top notch!"

"We had people from ages 1-82 stay at the motherload and everyone enjoyed their stay. Very clean, and very comfortable for an entire extended family to stay. "

"This place is amazing. Little cabins, so you get a place to yourself. Incredibly clean. Microwave, refrigerator, and even a small two burner stove top. Coffee maker, plates, etc. Very comfortable!"
