"Hill City is a great "Heart of the Hills" location. The Old Town Cottage was in town but felt like out in the hills. Very good communications with property manager. Likely stay there on our next trip to the area."

"This off-grid property was perfect for a weekend visit with my daughter. The off-grid set up of straw bale house, solar panels, well, wood stove was fascinating. The cabin was clean and cozy and Jared was quick to respond when we had a little battery trouble. I will definitely rent again! "

"Everything was fine, the bathroom was tiny, the hot tub had to be shared-I imagined it would be private. We only had 3 minutes alone. Kind of awkward with 2 men joining us, we left."

"Very clean place and the host was great to work with. Wish it was closer to the strip, but overall very nice place!"

"We recently stayed here with extended family as we explored the Black Hills and this spot was just heavenly. The house was fully stocked and had plenty of space on the inside, and there was a large yard, fire pit, and even some nearby farm animals to keep our family entertained outside. The location to Custer and tourist attractions was perfect. Would stay here again! "

"I title this Mother Nature because of all the wild life we saw. First morning we experienced elk in the back yard and turkey crossing in the front plus several deer and chipmunk. The host was wonderful to communicate with as we had several questions about driving our utv’s on trails in the Nemo area. I would highly recommend this cottage is amazing."

"We had a wonderful time. It is a great location to all the tourist activities throughout the area. The guy who checked us in was so kind and spent much time explaining activities for us to do while on our vacation. We appreciated how quiet the resort is and family-friendly. Also, reasonably priced."

"It was an easy walk to town and close to senic roads and Custer State park. The pass for the park we got with the rental was a nice touch. The fenced in yard was nice for our dogs. "
