"We stayed for two weeks at The Bothy. We used it as a base to explore the Dales. We enjoyed seeing the local sights and villages. There are numerous sites to visit within one hour’s drive. Also, there are nice walks from the front door to visit Aysgarth Falls, Cauldron Falls at West Burton, and a longer walk to Bolton Castle. "The Bothy is a very good choice if you are planning to visit Barnard Castle or North Pennines or indeed County Durham. First time ever in the region we were nicely surprised by both Barnard Castle and the city of Durham. The Bothy itself offers everything we needed for a nice stay. Its quirkiness was a nice bonus. "Lovely place to spend a few days the owner is really friendly and helpful. Had a great time. Owner even returned a ring we left in the property. Meals provided were excellent and everyone enjoyed them and we really enjoyed the hot tub / sauna. Highly recommended "

"Lovely cottage in Fremington. Nicely furnished and exactly as advertised. Kitchen has a washer/dryer which is very handy and a dishwasher. Nice bathroom with shower over bath and plentiful hot water. Beds really comfortable and loads of space upstairs. Underfloor heating in lounge was a treat and wood burner lovely on a cold February night. Enclosed front garden, made it easy for the dogs and would be nice to sit out in the summer. "East Lodge is a beautiful, well equipped property, rurally located in the middle of a sheep farm. It was immaculately clean and well organised and perfect for a group of 7 friends to meet up, one of whom uses an electric wheelchair."
