"Listed building in a beautiful setting, perfect base for walking. Great staff and good quality food and drink. Room was large and comfortable and really well presented. Great shower. "

"As a history geek and a crafter, I immediately fell in love with this place, perched up on a hill, clearly seen from the main road. The current owners Ken and Sarah have lovingly restored the house to its 19th century elegance, whilst maintaining the 16th century Tudor elements. The communal rooms are comfortable, the bedrooms all have a theme, I was in the pretty bird room. Excellent breakfast and there's a great pub 3 miles down the road, The Nag's Head, for dinner. "Cosy room oozing with character.. The staff upon check-in (and check-out of course) were great.. helped us to our room, showed us everything we needed to know.. the room was spotless, luckily for me as I forgot mine, toiletries were provided, including shower gel and shampoo.. I was performing at a local event and was back late but that was absolutely fine and nice and easy upon getting back to my room. Will definitely stay again."
