"This hotel is really great. It may look a bit tired from the outside but ince in through the doors the decoration, atmosphere and warmth of it and the staff would be hard to beat. The room we stsyed in was small but perfectly formed which was as expected due to the description when we booked and again decorated to a high standard. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was good."

"Stayed for one night in room 20 which is a family room. The room was spacious and well equipped with tea/coffee facilities, USB charging, plenty of sockets, large bath and roomy shower. It is also well laid out for a family room with 2 separate areas. The double bed for the grown ups was good, although the sheet could have been a little bigger as it kept coming off and wouldn’t tuck back around. "Staff were amazing, room was beautiful and very well kept. Would only have to comment on the light shining through the bathroom window all night from the storage area outside, and the shower cubicle wasn't very clean (moldy grout, mold on shower fittings), but the room itself was very modern and warm. We stayed in room 9, which was dog friendly. It was located on the ground floor, right near the entrance to the pub, I was worried we would be able to hear everything going on but I can't say that...

"This hotel was fabulous. A lovely room with a fantastic view. Nothing was too much trouble for the proprietors. A lovely breakfast to start the day. We were lucky that when we got back to the hotel after our friends daughters wedding reception we were treated to live folk music in a well stocked bar. A lovely relaxing end to a delightful day"

"Lovely stay, the staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. Location is great right in town centre. Food was excellent. The room was very clean and a good size shower just a shame the water was a bit lukewarm but maybe as it was the furthest room. Would definitely recommend a stay. "

"Only reason not 5 star was only realised when arrived the pool was closed. Granddaughter so disappointed that we had to find public swimming pool to take her too. Accommodation excellent lots of room for 4 though can have 6. Would definitely stay again. "
