"What a great space! It is meters from the port, which made location perfect for my trip. Owner very helpful and friendly, responded very quickly to any concerns. "Expedia's property address was for a business office, which didn't have any nearby parking, and it was closed when we arrived. There was a sign on the door in Italian, which we do not speak, and a telephone number. A kind young woman used her cellphone to call the number and talked to the manager, who did not speak English. We waited about ten minutes for someone to show up and walk us to the B & B, about three blocks away. Once in our room we had to make our own way back to where we had left...

"Chose property based on proximity to ferry terminal and reviews. We are a 2 minute walk away so we can sit in the roof deck and go over just before boarding - avoiding heat and crowds of the port. The room was unexpectedly elegant, perhaps the best room we have had in Sicily and for the price the best. We had an excellent dinner recommendation (Doppio Gusto) 5 mins away. "Emergenza incendi in Sicilia. Comunichiamo a Expedia e al titolare che non possiamo andare, chiedendo il rimborso o almeno lo spostamento della prenotazione. Ci viene negata. La prenotazione era in modalità non rimborsabile, dunque era legittima facoltà del titolare tenersi i soldi già incassati e respingere la richiesta. Ma in tanti anni che viaggio in giro per la Sicilia e per il mondo non mi era MAI capitato un gestore che a fronte di una grave emergenza non venisse incontro al cliente....

"The house was a perfect fit for our family trip to Italy. We enjoyed the location that happened to be centrally located to both family and the city. The house is spacious, comfortable, clean. "We spent a week in this apartment and found it an ideal base for local outings, including Taormina and Etna. Forza d'Agro is a bit like a hill-top Sicilian St Ives - all tiny alleys and steep streets and stairs, with excellent restaurants. The chocolate museum was pretty original too! The apartment is well-equipped and clean, with a lovely terrace giving the most amazing views along the coast and across the valley to the mountains."
