"We decided to stay here to use the hotel as a base but also be able to go and see the animals each day as we are annual pass holders. It wasn't great weather but we got to see so many of the animals, especially the big cats. The hotel staff were friendly and only missed cleaning our room because my husband was in it once. Breakfast wasn't so good. It was barely warm, bacon and sausages were dry and toaster wasn't set right. However, the staff were helpful and friendly."

"Lovely old-fashioned unique hotel. Lots of choice for food, and the spa is fab - £12 access per room is great, and the facilities were clean and updated. The gym/health club was a huge plus and made the stay even better. I would say the Bistro could do with some redecorating - the food was good and very reasonable, but the ambience/decor was a little plain for a dinner location! Aside from that, the rooms were clean, spacious and comfy, and the staff were all really friendly. Such a nice...

No hairdryer in room but I would imagine if we’d contacted reception they would have provided one. Not ideal. Just a few little niggles but otherwise a lovely place to stay and great breakfast. "
