La Piccola Torre is a delightful house, renovated according to the typical Salento tradition. It is fresh and welcoming and from the roof terrace you can enjoy a wonderful view over the roofs of Gagliano del Capo (the so-called kashba) and the surrounding countryside. the sea can be easily reached: the rocky and spectacular Adriatic coast is only 5 minutes away by car, while the long white sandy beaches of the Ionian Sea are only 15 minutes away by car. This ancient Salento house was completely renovated in 2009 and looks like a small jewel set in the historic center of Gagliano del Capo. The renovation was carried out with care by local craftsmen, paying the utmost attention to the choice of materials and respect for the Salento living tradition. Forms and colors of ancient memory are combined with modernity to offer those who live there the utmost particular comfort. The house is structured as follows:
- ground floor (which can be accessed directly from the pretty and pedestrian Via Tasso): living room with star vaults, original mosaic floor and large stone fireplace; semi-habitable kitchen with cocciopesto worktop, dining table for 6 people, double sofa bed; bath with shower; external staircase that goes up to the first floor.
- first floor: large and bright bedroom with star vaults and mosaic flooring, double bed, fitted wardrobes and an additional single bed; large master bathroom with bathtub, external staircase which leads to the terrace.
- terrace / solarium floor: large terrace from which you can enjoy the view over the entire historic center equipped with bamboo cane bercaeu and large dining palette (for 8 people)
the floors are in original mosaic and earthenware, the wooden window frames and double glazing (with mosquito net); the house is also equipped with air conditioning (hot / cold), electric stews, heated towel rail, washing machine, dishwasher, built-in wardrobes, solar panels to heat water, as well as handcrafted furniture.
Via Tasso is pedestrian and quiet; the car is left in nearby Piazza Bitonti.
