"i went with my daughter, had an amazing time! my cousins were at arena uk just 7 mins drive. so had the comfort of being able to relax at the beginning and end of day. Loved the fact had internet and watch all my favourite programmes on Netflix etc. My daughter was able to chill in her own room with tv at the end of a busy day. "

Preliminary walk around and checks found there was no fire alarms, fire blanket and no Welcome pack or inventory list of what to expect or where to go for emergency planning. "We had a really nice little break as a family, but there were a few things that were a little disappointing given the fact the house appeared on paper to be high end. We arrived with excited kids to find the hot tub was not switched on, so this took 24 hours to heat. A real shame when you only have a short break. There were no complimentary logs for the log burner as promised, and only one bin liner for the bins. So first thing to do was a shop! There were caddies for tea, coffee, sugar, salt...

"A great little cottage with plenty of amenities, however disappointed to only have 2 wine glasses and 4 mugs for a group of 6 ladies, who all love wine and all love tea, which made it very challenging and annoying. Would recommend for anybody looking to venture to sherwood forest area, as very close to sherwood forest visitor centre. a great Italian restaurant in the village too, 100 yards from the cottage, which was lovely. all in all a great cottage and wouldnt hesitate to stay here again."

"A relaxing, well-equipped, cute ‘hideaway’. Hosts Natasha and John (who live in the adjoining farmhouse) could not have been more kind and welcoming although they were in no way intrusive. "The stay was excellent considering the owners high level of care and lovely property. No problem there. VRBO on the other hand mislead us by assuring us that the property was mobility accessible which it was not.. This created significant problems for the severely dialed member of the group and the carer. We double checked accessibility just weeks prior to arrival date and were again assured the property was accessible. It was not."

"We had a lovely stay. The house had everything we needed. Good location with easy parking. The owner was there on arrival and showed us around, which was very helpful! The only thing which wasn't clear on the listing (I also looked on other sites) was that the garden is not fully fenced and with a river at the bottom of the garden, children would need to be supervised at all times. I would recommend this place. The hot tub was great!"

"The place was cute, and the neighbor was very kind, he came out to talk to us when we were trying to figure out parking the first night. The drive isn’t big enough for any car larger than a Mini, but there’s ample space for parking on the curb. The only real downside was the amount of bugs within the property. Any corner that was looked at held spiders of considerable size. I don’t recommend this place to anyone who’s as sensitive to those things as I am. We sat on the back porch the first night...

"Such potential, such a shame;- 6 light bulbs dead or faulty, loose 13amp socket, old cobwebs in every room complete with large spiders, window blinds not latching, dangerously sloppy chair, every surface dusty, dirty glasses, cracked mug chipped crockery, drains started to smell from day 3, no oven gloves nor tea cloths. hearth tile loose, creaky stairs ( no lower side-rail (dont bring children!) for goodness sake spend half a day cleaning the place and get someone in to fix things."
