Typical older 1980s Japanese hotel. Rooms were on the small side for Fukuoka and not recently renovated. Mattress and linens were nice but the bathroom definitely needs renovation.

The property is a bit dated. The hotel tries to make up for it with an array of consumables. The walk from the Hakata train station was okay. Have to get past just one traffic intersection. If you’re not spending too much time in the hotel, this is value for money.

Location and staff was wonderful. The room was very small, both of us couldn’t leave our suitcases open. bathroom was small and stuffy without proper ventilation. Room was hot so they delivered a fan and the window was able to open a crack that made it bearable.

This hotel is very old and dated. Maintenance is very much needed here. I was surprised to find dust on the tv console and the carpet wasn’t that clean upon my check in. I requested for housekeeping the next day but found everything the same just the bed was made and towels replaced. I had to wash the toilet as the stench of urine lingered. One thing that’s excellent is the front desk staffs, they were very friendly and helpful and try to understand my queries despite the language barrier.

Superb staff, excellent bed
Check in was simple and straight forward. Our stay was made very pleasant by the superb staff. Their courteous and helpful attitudes were excellent. When we mislaid an USB flash drive just before we checked out, they made a thorough check of our room and then shortly afterwards, by then we had travelled to another city, they emailed us to say it had not been found. At that stage, with some embarrassment, when we were unpacking we found it had been caught up in some clothing and so was hidden in our luggage. Our room was very good with very comfortable beds and all facilities worked well. We will be staying there again.

Excellent experience from start to end. Checking in was a breeze. Staff speaks good english by Japanese standard. We had arrived way early (travelled from Kumamoto to Hakata, making arrival time abit difficult to gauge). Hotel had allowed an early check-in & complimentary breakfast for us; this was a very pleasant surprise - we greatly appreciate their gesture. Hotel housekeeping also helped cleaned our room even though we had opted out for one of the days. Breakfast was a good spread of international & Japanese food. The front manager at the restaurant converses well in english too and was very professional. We had checked about taxi-transfer to airport on our last day. The lady at bell-captain counter made efforts to share info with us and helped make notes of our need (date/time of departure via taxi) and her colleague on duty on the day of our departure readily kept a lookout for the arriving taxis (2 vehicles) helped us with the luggage and greeted us goodbye. The hotel is within short walk from JR Hakata station. There are restaurants, convenience stores along the way and outside the hotel. On the whole the staffs were great in hospitality! We are always greeted with a sincere smile. A very pleasant and homely feel to the entire experience. We will certainly love to visit this hotel again in our next visit.Thank you! ANA Crowne Fukuoka.
