"This was our second stay here for the three of us plus dog. Located near the castle and overlooking the railway, it’s ideally placed. Town is a two minute walk and, although parking is a street away, there was always free spaces. You’ll need reversing skills to get to the property to unload, as the house is on a narrow one way road, with no parking. "We had a fantastic stay, the cottage was everything we needed and more! The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and the cottage was so peaceful but also handy for exploring York and the surrounding area. Communication from the owners was brilliant and whilst we didn’t need anything, it was nice to know they were near if we did. "Fantastic, greeted with milk in the fridge and fresh eggs, Lovely host who was so freindly, full of local knowledge and advice on things to do. The cottage absolutely beautiful with log fire (although we didnt use it as the place was so toasty and warm). Quality throughout, everything you could need for a holiday, shops 10 minutes away by car, lovely countryside with loads to do, easy drive to Scarborough, Filey and York. "My partner and I (and our dog) stayed at Gemma’s lovely cottage and we couldn’t be happier! Communication was prompt, the cottage was immaculate when we arrived and fully equipped, and the village of Burythorpe was beautiful! Highly recommend popping into the pub across the street as it was lovely. Gemma also provided several great recommendations in the guest book and we are sad that we couldn’t get to everything in our weekend stay! Would definitely come back, thanks Gemma!"

"Absolutely brilliant stay in a wonderful apartment. Great location, short walk from main area, the apartment is very modern and comfortable and a great place to base yourself for the sights. Everthing you need and very cosy, but with plenty of space for 5 of us. Grratvto come home to after busy days in York. Thanks for having us!"
