"Charming hotel with incredible views. Food is average to subpar. Interior decor is subpar, particularly in the rooms. Overall location, view, ambience and service quality is really good."

"The property was very outdated and in need of renovation and investment. Food very expensive and limited. Poor choice at breakfast. Shower didn’t work properly and no hairdryer, although listed. The bed had a stain. Outside area was untidy and needed some investment. Staff were helpful. Avoid if you can. "

"Great value in a nice little town. Clean, comfortable rooms. Great access to two national parks: Jostedalsbreen and Jotunheimen. The hotel is the only "action" in town, that is restaurant and "bar" (really the front desk, which in addition to alcohol also served as the local ice cream parlor). "

"We loved our stay here. The staff were wonderful and made it feel like home away from home. The food was fabulous. This is a very small town but the location is amazing and the salmon museum is worth the time. "

"Even if the furniture is quite old, it is clean and totally adequate. It has a very cozy charme. The village is quite quiet and the loudest noise was that of the water stream not far from the house. The only thing that was interesting to put it mildly was the smell coming from the bathroom. One of the water drains was smelly, but you can manage by keeping the window open. All in all it is a cozy little place and we would visit again."
