"Gathered the family for Uma’s 70th birthday celebration. Great house, lots of space, fantastic amenities, beautiful pool, well stocked kitchen. Kayaked the river. The sunrise was only exceeded by the sunset views. We all definitely want to return in summer. "

"Truly a "getaway" in a peaceful setting. Host is nearby, if needed, in a beautiful historic farmhouse, but our stay felt quite "private" nonetheless. Very spacious lodgings in The Shouse would easily accommodate larger family groups. TV viewing space and game-playing space for all. "

"I booked this house for the bridal party in a recent wedding I was in and it was perfect. The house far exceeded expectations. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, and the second level was like its own hotel equipped with coffee maker and two giant vanities with mirrors in each room. The kitchen area also had plenty of room for the hair and makeup artists to do their thing the day of. Only thing I would recommend is an extra mirror in the basement bathroom/bedroom.
