"We were excited about our stay at Rice Lake! But the house had a few problems and it made our stay less enjoyable. The small A/C unit is located in the living room area and not in the bedrooms. So every night was hot, and unable to cool the rooms properly. Second problem was the washer failed on the 2nd day of our stay and the owners did not fix the problem. They sent out someone to tell us they're working on purchasing a new washer but this forced us to go to the another laundry. It also...

"We booked this cottage to celebrate my sister's bachelorette weekend, it was the perfect space! Communication with the host was very easy and the cottage was extremely clean upon our arrival. The location was very convenient to get to from Toronto & everything that we needed for the weekend was supplied. The outside space was beautiful as well, the water was swimmable but a bit weedy so water-friendly shoes are a good idea!"

"The cottage was very nice and fully stocked. It was perfect with young kids. The outside lawn between the 2 large maples is where we spent so much of our time playing games and running around. It has everything you need to make for a perfect stay. The addition of linens and towels were so convenient. Would absolutely stay here again!"

"Right away we noticed the cleanliness was on point. The second thing we noticed was the how baby friendly it was. We were very happy to see there was a playpen, a crib, a baby gate and a high chair provided which we’re all useful. The pull out couch was cozy. The seating space was perfect and the kitchen was great so all the ladies were able to help cook together. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would book again!"

"The property manager was great to deal with and got back to me right away. Pros & cons of the place. Pros: beautiful new cottage with lots of space, very clean, location is great from the GTA, extremely helpful property manager Cons: hornets nest on the main deck, kitchen supplies (knives, plates, glasses, etc) need to be restocked or replaced, lake is not idea for jet skies (lots of weeds) and where the dock is is extremely weedy so even the boat was a bit of an issue.
