"We were met with the most uninterested woman in the reception. Felt like she didn’t care about anything. The room was very small, there was no fan, very tiny windows (felt a bit unsafe) and there was no shower as stated in the booking. The apartment was perfect and in a great location for experiencing everything the town has to offer- walking distance to the shops, restaurants, wine tram, and grocery store. "We stayed in one of the Forest cottage. We loved the grounds of the hotel and the gardens were so beautiful. We booked late and the only room available was one of the cottages. We found the decor to be very dated including the bathroom and it had no air con. The bathroom taps were very stiff. The pool area for these cottages felt like it needed updating/cleaned and the lounger covers on the chairs were in need of a clean and quite dirty. Overall we were quite disappointed with the accommodation....

"A whole house with all the trimmings, amenities and warm South African welcome of the owner. The fridge contained complimentary butter, home made jam, bottle of wine and farm fresh milk. There were home made rusks and scrunchies. There was complimentary spices to use as well as olive oil etc etc. We were given two dishwashing pods and laundry detergent to use. I've never stayed in a place that is so well equipped. The owners friendliness further enhanced our stay. "
