"Hotel is set in beautiful well kept grounds. Staff are friendly and attentive, rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard. Good breakfast daily meals generally good, with excellent table service even if food service is a little slow. Pool area is lovely and pool bar service good with a good choice of drinks available. "The staff very very friendly and went above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Not a great range of food on offer and you had to book your lunch and dinnertimes on the morning which doesn't give flexibility. One Negative was we booked this hotel for the Spa. The spa has been out of action since at least June according to an employee. It has not been amended on the websites or expedia. Very disappointed! "

"I loved the decor!! It was very charming and unique! Our main complaint was that the food was not very enjoyable. It was not very tasty and was really overpriced. But the beauty of the resort, the pool with the pink and white striped awnings, and the charming rooms made it all worthwhile."

The 1 big complaint is that the property owner did not advise us that we were the only visitors to be there most of the time so there would be no food service available, so we had to cook every meal for ourselves. "We loved the tranquility of the resort. Beautiful, well-kept beaches and friendly and hospitable servers. I especially want to recognize the efforts of Tracy Ann who made sure our room was meticulously kept and she was patient with us with our unpredictable departure times. She really cared that my kids and I enjoyed the island. She was incredibly kind and we appreciated her hospitable spirit."

"We love this property. It’s clean, comfortable, kind and Bajan owned and staffed. We are not all inclusive people as we like to surf and tour the island. Bougainvillea is a great home base and we recommend it to couples or families. See you next year!"

Great Resort, Memorable Experience

"Had a really good time here with my wife with a group of friends about 30 in total celebrating the 50th birthday of my very good childhood friend. The staff were very friendly and polite, the ambience of the Hotel is fantastic as is the food (very good variety and options for everyone). Our room was a balcony with the Ocean view and very breath-taking waking up to the view everyday. Although quite pricey, we did enjoy our stay."

"I was really reluctant after reading all the bad reviews but I booked it anyway because I wanted a big pool area. Well I was pleasantly surprised. It was no where near as bad as the reviews made it sound. It definitely had one of the beach areas. The pool was large. Yes it is very dated but a lot of hotels in Barbados are. The jacuzzi did not work and I wish I had known that before I booked it. They gave me a credit but I was charged so taxes they stated were shown on Expedia. The location of the hotel was perfect walking distance to the (less then 1.5m) Gap nightlife. Lots of restaurants even closer."

"We’ve stayed at the Radisson Aquatica many times and although the rooms are dated, they are clean, the staff are so friendly & helpful which makes ys go back each year. Staff are constantly cleaning throughout the hotel. It’s on one of the best beaches on the island & is walkable to food vans & other eateries. We’ll be back again this year! "

"Staff and service are very friendly. We were traveling with older teenagers and we always felt safe with letting them walk around the resort. We had an issue with our toilet and they came to fix it and thought that was that. An hour later I received a text that they would just like to replace it (that day)! We had very few issues but if we did it was addressed and resolved very quickly! Beach is beautiful and easy to access. A couple improvements would be the beach bar, The Grove. They are VERY busy and it seems to me there has to be a better way to run it. From ordering to paying. The food takes forever to get. HOWEVER, they are friendly and tell you it's going to be a while. I think the place is just too small for the amount of people they are servicing (though we were there on probably one of the busiest weeks of the year). Another improvement would be the mattress on the pullout couch. We used it every night and though we managed, it really needs to be replaced. Going out of the country always has its challenges and differences than being in the United States. But you know that going into it. Truly not a hard price to pay for the beauty of the island you came for!"
